38. Note - concluding note and a Thank You for reading.

38.  8 October 2019

1127 hours. I don't have anything to say. The keys feel harder to press. I appear to have lost my natural touch on the keyboard. Presently, I really don't seem to mind. (1134)

1545 hours. Mac, Mary Lou's old companion, is coming up to see the house, Gayle and Linda are here and Kim is coming over as the boys have soccer tonight. We are going to the nearby Rusty Bucket for dinner and it ought to be a lot of fun.

You have had a good day, only hampered by diligent workers fixing the ceiling; one expert in particular skimmed the whole ceiling from front door to back. Tomorrow another coat, then finish on Thursday. -  Amorella

1552 hours. Wow. I thought I'd never talk with you again. Everything seemed so different this morning -- it was like you were all gone, and at the time, my memory wasn't up and I couldn't place your name. I figured, well, that's done, at least I gave a try to help the world in a back-mannered sort of way. Anyway, I felt I accomplished what I could and I had said everything I could, so more words would be meaningless. I even thought about taking up painting abstracts but writing is easier for me. I'm so glad you are here. Ms Havisham and the personification of my human spirit are gone I assume?

Yes, you did sense that this morning. - Amorella

1608 hours. I will probably always have my doubts whether it was real or not, but I hope I did not disrupt them, or you either -- though I accept you are real, at least to me.

I'm here, orndorff. You're done with all that. The blogs are open to read if anyone cares to do to, so rest easy. We can still talk though and write one another. I'm not going anywhere. Post. - Amorella

1624 hours. Thank you, Readers. I appreciate that you took the time.

37. Notes - honest & polite / results / conclusion

37.  7 October 2019

0734 hours. I find myself in a pickle surrounded by irony and humor. Whatever I say or do relating to this spiritual circumstance now will sound contrived.

You were taught at an early age to be honest and polite. - Amorella

       0739 hours. That's what I'm being, Amorella.

       Post. - Amorella

Carol and Linda drove over to the Polaris area to get their hair done. Later, today they are going over to Easton Shopping to check out a couple of stores and have lunch at Piada Street Italian. Meanwhile, you had forgotten the men were coming to work on leveling the ceiling between the beams (slight shadows linger between some ceiling beams, your supervisor, Tom did not like it) before tomorrow's work on the ceiling overall, so you are in the bedroom with the cats to let the workers do what they need to do. One of the men said it would take a couple of hours. - Amorella

1014 hours. This gives me time to think. What I need to do is reason this spiritual quandary through. I will need your help Ms Havisham and Amorella. I am not stuck between a rock and a hard place, this is a predicament not a dilemma.

       Post. - Amorella

You had to take Carol's key over to Honda for a new battery and reprogramming. The workers are still here. You did do part of what you want to accomplish. Here it is. - Amorella

Outline of Note 36

Ms Havisham, my soul, speaks:

1. This blog is supposed to be an informal study on human beings from the root of their humanity from me, Ms Havisham, your soul's perspective. [- mh]

2. Consciousness in a spiritual sense is not as consciousness in the sense of one who is living. Spiritual unconsciousness is the one root, so to speak. Numbers are not involved.

3. Those who exist with a human consciousness are more aware of this unconsciousness through an unknowable loneliness and longing than anything else.

4. All living things have a sense of this - 'I am here, where is everyone else?' You can observe this in your pets, particularly cats. Dogs too, but they are more demonstrative.

5. A bacteria? More than one is better, not for defense of the individual (are you listening) but for the defense of the group. Grass? Surely this is observable.

6. On a level of physics, one might contemplate gravity, but don't let that fool you. The spiritual sense is deeper than gravity.

7. I like to call it the Spirit of Grace. You can call it whatever you like, or, like Amorella says, you can deny it.

8. Your humanity, you see, reaches deeper than you do but it explodes, so to speak. through kindness and consideration. [- mh]

Observation 1:

This paragraph has continuity and makes sense in context; however, I think 'explodes' in Point 8 is a bit much. Humanity doesn't explode and neither does kindness and consideration. However, at the moment I cannot find another word besides 'explodes' that fits, mainly because I am not fully aware of what 'humanity' means in this circumstance.

The first paragraph as written originally (not outlined above), 176 words; 17 sentences; words/sentence - 10.3; Flesch Reading Ease - 70.3; Flesch Reading Level - Grade 6.

Ms Havisham, my soul, speaks her second paragraph:

9. Look, old man. You assume you are 'fake' because of your imagination.

10. Your soul is greater than your imagination. Spirits are greater than your imagination.

11. You are a spirit too, a human spirit. This is your level when you write this blog. Do you understand what I am saying, you take on the persona, so to speak, of your spirit.

12. How else would this work? It is poetry, it is you as poetry. - mh

Observation 2:

Assumption; response to assumption. [Fact-like] - a spirit, your human spirit writes not the conscious you. Reason - three spirits [co-equal] therefore no physical you, this then is poetry because of the personification of two of the three spirits.

The second paragraph as written originally, 73 words; 9 sentences; words/sentence - 8.1; Flesch Reading Ease - 79.2; Flesch Reading Level - Grade 4.2.

Amorella speaks her first paragraph:

13. You all were at Kim and Paul's for Sunday supper. I was there too, and also Ms Havisham was there, but we are not in your head.

14. You have accepted me, the Amorella, as a friendly spirit for decades, you with your detached logical outlook and mental frame.

15. You have more trouble accepting Ms Havisham as your personified soul or even as a spirit.

16. Where I come from souls are spirits by the way, though spirits don't classify and name things as human beings do.

17. From your perspective we are classified as spirits because we exist but are not biochemical or other such forms.

18. It is strange that human beings can accept thoughts when as real when, in their own order [thoughts] are a sort of fake spirit, a human conjured thought spirit, if you will.

19. Do you see where I am going with this? Of course not. Your imagination takes over.

20. A spirit though, can outdo a thought.

21. The human spirit shows this by example. Any human being can show this by example, and many do. - Amorella

Observation 3:

Point A. Ms Havisham and I are not in your head;

Point B. I have been accepted for decades; (Pride?)

Point C. You have a detached logical outlook and mental frame;

Point D. You have trouble accepting Ms Havisham as a soul/spirit;

Point E. Souls are spirits, but souls don't classify [themselves] the same way [humans do];

Point F. Souls are not biochemical physical forms;

Point G. Humans can accept thoughts as real; thoughts can be [accepted] as real forms [like spirits are forms of consciousness]

Point H. Humans can make up fake spirits from their thoughts.

Point I. Humans have trouble with this reasoning because their imagination rushes in and is more easily accepted as real than we spirits are accepted as real.

Point J. A spirit can 'overdo' a human thought; (Aggressive?)

Point K. A human spirit [separate from the physical body] can show this by example;

Point L. Any human being can show this by example; many do.

This makes sense but it appears Amorella is emotionally bias and has not thought it through in a more reasonably detached manner. (I am surprised by this as Amorella is far more reasonable than I am, and she has been so for decades. Also, I have to say that what I receive from Amorella are 'translations' into English and I have made mistakes in translation from time to time because my fingers are slower than the thought/message received.) 1808 hours.  [Yes, Amorella]

The third paragraph as written originally, 176 words; 13 sentences; words/sentence - 13.5; Flesch Reading Ease - 75.8; Flesch Reading Level - Grade 6

Ms Havisham, my soul, speaks once again:

22. You assume you are 'fake' because of your imagination.

23. Your soul is greater than your imagination. Spirits are greater than your imagination.

24. You are a spirit too, a human spirit. This is your level when you write this blog.

25. Do you understand what I am saying, you take on the persona, so to speak, of your spirit.

26. How else would this work? It is poetry, it is you as poetry. - mh

Observation 4:

Imagination is your weakness.

Spirits are a greater force than imagination. (Power play or fact-like?)

Your human spirit is personified-like as you write. You take on the persona of your human spirit.

With the two personifications this is as poetry. This make your human spirit poetry.

The reasoning is there but this paragraph is for convincing you what you have done spiritually unconsciously.

I have to admit when I first read this paragraph something clicked in my head; supposedly I had 'willed' myself unconsciously to do this personification of my human spirit. If so, I wonder, when was this, that is, if it is so. No proof. Circumstance has not been shown, or it if has I don't see it.

The fourth paragraph as written originally, 73 words; 9 sentences; words/sentence - 8.1; Flesch Reading Ease - 79.2; Flesch Reading Level - Grade 4.2

Amorella speaks a second time:

27. you are a human spirit inside a human being

28. you are no different than any other human being

29, except you have accepted such a thing as possible, - Amorella

30. You have unconsciously thought it possible

31. you found a way to make it so.

32. Why? You want to learn another way to see things,

33. another way to work your way out of this world you live in. - Amorella

Observation 5:

You are a human being;

You have accepted such a personification of your human spirit as possible

You have thought this personification possible unconsciously.

You desire to see the world differently to try to comprehend of a new way to make it better for all people to live more humanely.

You do not like the world as it is and just as soon not be here.

These are observations that I accept as facts.

Conclusion

2246 hours. On my first reading yesterday, I was not sure that what was written even made sense. I was shocked to think I might have unconsciously created my raw, so to speak, spiritual heartansoulanmind, my human spirit to be personified so that I had an additional source to help me, help find a solution, to make the world a better place.

This seems quite silly that I would have thought this because I am cynical and frankly have given the concept up because I am just a human being like everyone else. I was a teacher of English both literature and composition, but no different than any other teacher. And, frankly not as good as many. I love literature though and writing and some of my students found that appealing. I am an ordinary person, and this is embarrassing that I would have even really thought I could make much of a difference in the world. What arrogance for me to have thought I could help change the world. It certainly wasn't a conscious decision in any case. I will say, that a few people may be inspired by what I have written, and that's fine. If I help give some people hope in themselves and in the future, that's wonderful. The humor here is that if I have, it was almost accidental. But that's fine. Human kind has potential to do much good for our fellow species and hopefully make the world a better place for people to live decently and respectfully with one another. A more honest world and a more just world. (2303)

The man is honest and humbler than he thinks. He really doesn't know himself as well as he should. I will stick with him though; he has my word. I am his spirit friend. - Amorella

2305 hours. Amorella, I hope I can continue reading and writing and sharing. It gives me great personal happiness to be able to read and write.

36. Notes - it's more complex than this / surely this is humor

36.   6 October 2019

Mid-afternoon. This morning you, Carol and Linda took in the film, Downton Abbey, at the nearby Marcus at Crosswoods. You all enjoyed the show and stopped at Potbelly's for a quick lunch after. Linda is making a pie for Kim's supper tonight. Gayle just stopped in. The three sisters are in the kitchen, but to you, they are a pleasant distraction. - Amorella

1501 hours. Carol grew up with three sisters, Mary Lou, Gayle and Linda. Carol's mom, Jean, always had something going on when they were home. Mary Lou died a few years ago but it still seems like she is with them when they get together. Gayle will be buried in California next to her late husband and daughter. Mary Lou is buried next to her parents in Otterbein Cemetery. Linda also has a stone and Carol and I share a stone in the same area. When Carol's parents were buried Linda dropped in a deck of cards. I suppose we'll all be playing cards together with other friends and relatives in the same cemetery. That's the fun outlook. I like the concept but I don't do much card playing.

You just realized that once again, you were going on with a story and that this blog is supposed to be an informal study on human beings from the root of their humanity from me, Ms Havisham, your soul's perspective. - mh

1517 hours. Should I erase this and let you begin?

No, old man. Just let her move on with it. - Amorella

Consciousness in a spiritual sense is not as consciousness in the sense of one who is living. Spiritual unconsciousness is the one root, so to speak. Numbers are not involved. Those who exist with a human consciousness are more aware of this unconsciousness through an unknowable loneliness and longing than anything else. All living things have a sense of this - 'I am here, where is everyone else?' You can observe this in your pets, particularly cats. Dogs too, but they are more demonstrative. A bacteria? You can call it whatever you like, or, like Amorella says, you can deny it. Your humanity, you see, reaches deeper than you do but it explodes, so to speak. through kindness and consideration. - mh

1542 hours. This is all well and nice, Ms Havisham but you don't live in the real world. You don't live at all. You are being all romance and ideal, but people know better. Real people have to eat and share, mostly to survive, it has nothing to do with your common denominator of kindness. If you don't stand up and fight for your individual rights someone will be right there to do you in. Granted, a soul, an existence, might well see reality like this, at least for themselves, but surely, they realize, they know, that the individual heartanmind they carry cannot survive in an idealistic world. No matter what sense of humanity a person has. The individual has to survive first, if not, there isn't a group, a swarm of humanity, if you will. Ms Havisham, are you listening?

       Post. - Amorella

1552 hours. This is ridiculous Amorella. I don't mind learning something. I enjoy learning, but this is ramped up idealism. I can't afford idealism.

It is going to cost you either way, old man. Nothing's free. - Amorella

1554 hours. Now, there, that's something I can understand. Now you can 'post'.

I 'posted' several lines ago. - Amorella

       1557 hours. Don't leave.

I'm still here, old man. Where are you going? - Amorella

2056 hours. Your last line still sticks. You're here in my head Amorella, yet you say I'm going somewhere when I'm here in my head also; plus, it's my head, my brain. I don't 'feel' schizophrenic. I know where and who I am.

You all were at Kim and Paul's for Sunday supper. I was there too, and also Ms Havisham was there, but we are not in your head. You have accepted me, the Amorella, as a friendly spirit for decades, you with your detached logical outlook and mental frame. You have more trouble accepting Ms Havisham as your personified soul or even as a spirit. Where I come from souls are spirits by the way, though spirits don't classify and name things as human beings do. Do you see where I am going with this? Of course not. Your imagination takes over. A spirit though, can outdo a thought. The human spirit shows this by example. Any human being can show this by example, and many do. - Amorella

2118 hours. Curious, I just checked your reading level stats in the above paragraph, Amorella. [177 words in 1 paragraph - 13 sentences. Flesch Reading Ease: 76.6; Flesch Grade Level: 6th grade; passive sentences, 0.]

2128 hours. Strange it is that the Flesch gives this a sixth-grade reading level while I find it difficult to master, and I am doing the typing. This is just plain weird.

Look, old man. You assume you are 'fake' because of your imagination. Your soul is greater than your imagination. Spirits are greater than your imagination. You are a spirit too, a human spirit. This is your level when you write this blog. Do you understand what I am saying? You take on the persona, so to speak, of your human spirit. How else would this work? It is poetry, it is you as poetry. - mh

2137 hours. That's crazy. I am a living breathing person. How can I be a personification of myself?

You can because you are a human spirit inside a human being and you are no different than any other human being except you have accepted such a thing as possible, you have thought such a thing possible. - Amorella

2140 hours. But no, I have not. Not consciously.

You have unconsciously thought it possible and you found a way to make it so. Why? You want to learn another way to see things, another way to work your way out of this world you live in. - Amorella

2144 hours. I need to stop and think, to reread and think. It is imagination. I am not this clever. I'm not that intelligent. In fact, all in all, I'd say I'm pretty slow on a lot of things. If I didn't love to read and write I would be illiterate. I don't know how I would function if I could not read or write; that is, I don't know how I would survive physically if I could not read and write.

Not much imagination in the last paragraph, old man. That is pretty much who you are. Post. - Amorella

2150 hours. This seems too silly to share. Even in imagination it is too silly. Foolish, even.

That may be, but you are a human being. Post. - Amorella

35. Notes - on jealousy and other things

35.   5 October 2019

Mid-afternoon. You are upset with yourself because earlier you had written about a page for today's blog and you accidently erased it. You, Carol, Linda and Gayle had a Graeter's at Worthington this afternoon. Gayle then left for her home nearby. You are now home. - Amorella

1648 hours. The focus was on Ms Havisham's biography of me, from her soul perspective. I learned something very important about how life is, at least how my life has been. My soul's biography of my life is honed down to one paragraph, twelve sentences and two hundred and sixty-six words. Here it is again.

** **
I remember those years, old man. You spent a lot of time drinking and thinking about drugs but you never took them in those days. Eventually, you got yourself sober on will alone then discovered your younger sister's roommate her freshman year at Otterbein and married her in 1967 after you started teaching your first year. Carol was a sophomore at that time. You finally had a focus and after Carol graduated and you had taught two more years you got into Bowling Green State University (again, conditionally) to work on a Master’s in Education on curriculum development. Within a year's time you received your degree and took a teaching job in the private American School in Sao Paulo, Brazil for two years. You taught British literature to seniors and freshman composition and literature and Carol taught third grade. After two years you both decided to return to the States, you both got teaching jobs in the Cincinnati area, Carol earned her Master's in Education at the University of Cincinnati, and you both stayed until retirement; you in 2003 and Carol in 2004. You had one daughter whom you taught as a senior AP student at Mason High, Kim graduated from Miami of Ohio and earned a Master's at Ohio State University. I was there, a witness to your life, just as other souls are witnesses to the human spiritual heartsanminds they hold. There is no privacy one's soul does not know. Strangely, though, as circumstance would have it, the soul is aware of what the spiritual heartanmind does not know, the fully unconscious spiritual heartanmind. - mh

** **

1656 hours. Ms Havisham does not mention my parents, grandparents, family or other relatives or friends. When she mentioned Kim, it is not her birth but the year Kim had me for her AP British literature teacher. She does not mention Paul or their boys, Owen and Brennan. It is as thought all these other people have their own individual souls who note these things in their separate honed down biographies. It is like Ms Havisham may be my soul now, but eventually she'll move on with another person's spiritual heartanmind. The writing also implies that Ms Havisham has held many another individual human heartanmind before my own.

What did you expect? This is from her point of view. - Amorella

1705 hours. What happened to all these other spiritual heartsanminds?

They moved on. Do you think everything ends with you? Life didn't begin with you. you know. I think you are jealous that Ms Havisham is not yours to keep. - Amorella

1708 hours. How can you say that, Amorella? I don't even believe a word of this.

Old man, you believe enough to be jealous. - Amorella

Amorella is right, old man. You are jealous. I'm flattered but souls do what they do just like human beings do what they do. - mh

1715 hours. For what purpose is this?

For what purpose is a flower? - mh

Old man, what if all that is left of your spiritual heartanmind are genuine acts and thoughts of kindness towards others of your species? Think on that if you will. Or, don't. You will learn something either way. - Amorella

1736 hours. First, I'll have to define 'genuine'.

Yes, for you that is a first. Post. - Amorella

1933 hours. Genuine or authentic -- I don't feel I am always genuine even when I am.

You are only human, old man. - Amorella

34. Notes - life is something else, no question about it

34.  4 October 2019

Afternoon. You left for Cleveland's east side and lunch about nine and arrived at about eleven-thirty at one of your favorite places for lunch, The Stone Oven on Lee a couple blocks east of Cedar. After an excellent lunch of sandwiches and soup you drove passed Kim and Paul's old house in University Heights then down to and west on Fremont where you picked up your order of three dozen Jennifer cookies at the bakery, On the Rise. After which you headed back to I-271, headed home and arrived in Westerville at about three in the afternoon back where you began. - Amorella

1934 hours. You made a pretty short order of the day, Amorella. It was fun. Carol and I like Cleveland's east side, no question about it -- a bit more diverse culture than Columbus and Cincinnati from our perspective. I spent a year on the west side, Middleburg Heights from the summer 1960 into summer of 1961 working in a foundry, took a couple night courses at Fenn College downtown (now Cleveland State), then in 1961 I left my parents' home and bummed my way out to Denver where I tried to join the Air Force but they wouldn't take me because of blood pressure and foot problems. So, a month or so later, I ended up taking a Greyhound bus home with the little money I had left. That Fall I stayed with my grandparents at Knox and Walnut in Westerville where I had spent my senior year in 1959-1960 so I could graduate with my Westerville High School class. I got into Otterbein conditionally because of mediocre grades and stayed for seven years until I actually graduated in 1967.

- mh

2012 hours. This is strange to realize. I am not in charge of the unconscious mind by definition. I have never thought on the concept of a spiritual unconscious heart let alone a heartanmind.

This is not a fact, old man, it is constructed for your personal understanding of what more there is to being fully human, at least from this soul's perspective. - mh

2017 hours. We are back where it makes no difference whether I believe you or have conjured you, so to speak, as a bit of my imagination. It doesn't seem reasonable that I do not have full consciousness of my life. What purpose would that serve me or any other human being, not to have full consciousness?

Why have a spiritual aspect at all? What purpose does that make? - mh

2021 hours. I assume it is bringing the spirit and the body together that makes for one's humanity. Obviously, there would be no other reason to survive physical death. Whatever you might say in response, leads me to believe you already know what I might say even before I do. What good is that to me? Nothing. If true, this is not fair, not just. Where is the free will?

The free will is that you do not know, you are free of that unconscious knowledge, otherwise, you would not have free will.

2030 hours. I am tired of this. For all I know you are testing me like Amorella does sometimes.

You learn about yourself in these tests from Amorella. - mh

2031 hours. I know I should just shut up sometimes, and listen for a different perspective on what is real and what is not.

That is one of the things the soul is for, old man. Are you listening? - mh

       2034 hours. I am.

33. Notes - kindness / tit for tat

33.  3 October 2019

You stopped at Schneider's for breakfast doughnuts and milk, then drove to Otterbein Cemetery to take down artificial flowers at the grave sites, and you trimmed and cleaned up in the surrounding area as the graves are at the northwest boundary of the cemetery. Presently, Carol and Linda are out digging up weeds in the front flower garden. (Digging up weeds is something Linda enjoys doing as their lawn at home is mostly a garden anyway, no grass as such in front, back or sides of a double lot. Bill is a master gardener.) - Amorella

1027 hours. I am forgetful that Ms Havisham is taking this blog from her viewpoint. As a soul kindness is a given, or appears to be, and she is right. This is her last comment to me in yesterday's Note 32: "exploring kindness is not too much for anyone, no matter what one's age."

Thank you, old man, for the introduction. Following your lead on things, let's begin with an introduction from Wikipedia. - mh

** **

Kindness

Kindness is a behavior marked by ethical characteristics, a pleasant disposition, and concern and consideration for others. It is considered a virtue, and is recognized as a value in many cultures and religions (see ethics in religion).
In Book II of "Rhetoric", Aristotle defines kindness as "helpfulness towards someone in need, not in return for anything, nor for the advantage of the helper himself, but for that of the person helped". Nietzsche considered kindness and love to be the "most curative herbs and agents in human intercourse". Kindness is considered to be one of the Knightly Virtues. In Meher Baba's teachings, God is synonymous with kindness: "God is so kind that it is impossible to imagine His unbounded kindness!"

In society

In human mating choice, studies suggest that both men and women value kindness and intelligence in their prospective mates, along with physical appearance, attractiveness, social status, and age.

Nice guy

A "nice guy" is an informal and usually stereotypical term for an (often young) adult male who portrays himself as gentle, compassionate, sensitive, and/or vulnerable. The term is used both positively and negatively. When used positively, and particularly when used as a preference or description by someone else, it is intended to imply a male who puts the needs of others before his own, avoids confrontations, does favors, gives emotional support, tries to stay out of trouble, and generally acts nicely towards others. In the context of a relationship, it may also refer to traits of honesty, loyalty, romanticism, courtesy and respect. When used negatively, a nice guy implies a male who is unassertive, does not express his true feelings and, in the context of dating (in which the term is often used), uses acts of ostensible friendship with the unstated aim of progressing to a romantic or sexual relationship.

In psychology

Based on experiments at Yale University using games with babies, some studies concluded that kindness is inherent to human beings. There are similar studies about the root of empathy in infancy - motor mirroring developing in the early months of life, to lead (optimally) to the easy concern shown by children for their peers in distress.
Barbara Taylor and Adam Phillips have stressed the element of necessary realism in adult kindness, as well as the way “real kindness changes people in the doing of it, often in unpredictable ways”.

In literature

·       The Tirukkural, an ancient Indian work on ethics and morality, dedicates a separate chapter on kindness (Chapter 8, verses 71–80), furthering the value in other chapters, such as hospitality (verses 81–90), uttering pleasant words (verses 91–100), compassion (verses 241–250), moral vegetarianism (verses 251–260), non-violence (verses 311–320), non-killing (verses 321–330), and benignity (verses 571–580), among others.
·       Mark Twain from a compassion point of view considered "Kindness [as a] language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see."
·       It has been suggested that 'most of Shakespeare's opus could be considered a study of human kindness'.
·       Robert Louis Stevenson considered that 'the essence of love is kindness; and indeed, it may best be defined as passionate kindness: kindness, so to speak, run mad and become importunate and violent'.
·       The Christian apostle Paul lists kindness as one of the nine traits considered to be the "fruit of the Spirit"  in Galatians 5:22. In 1 Corinthians 13:4 he states, "Love is patient, love is kind."

In media

Based on the novel of the same name written in 1999 by author Catherine Ryan Hyde, the motion picture Pay it Forward, which starred Kevin Spacey, Helen Hunt, Haley Joel Osment and Jon Bon Jovi, illustrates the power one person can have to make an impact on a chain reaction of kind deeds. The philosophy of Pay It Forward is that through acts of kindness among strangers, we all foster a more caring society. In the book and film, Reuben St. Clair, a social studies teacher in Atascadero, California, challenges his students to "change the world". One of his students, Trevor, takes the challenge to heart. He starts by showing kindness to a stranger which ripples further than he could have ever imagined.
In October 2011, Life Vest Inside posted a video called "Kindness Boomerang". It shows how one act of kindness passes seamlessly from one person to the next and boomerangs back to the person who set it into motion. Orly Wahba, Life Vest Inside Founder and Director of Kindness Boomerang explains that each scene was based on real life experiences she personally went through; moments of kindness that left a lasting impression on her life. Within several months after its release, Kindness Boomerang went viral; reaching over 20 million people globally and eventually landing Wahba spot on the TED201 stage to speak about the power of kindness.

1046 hours. I am embarrassed to say this, but I did not know Wikipedia had anything on the subject of kindness. I never looked it up.

Here is the point. In being kind to others one becomes kinder to one's own sense of being. - mh

1510 hours. Is this a rule, Ms Havisham?

This is a guide for your own common sense, old man. - mh

1515 hours. I don't know where I thought this [kindness] was going but it didn't go there.

Souls do not have rules or laws. We have what we are. - mh

1518 hours. What do we have?

Old man, you have your humanity. - mh

1521 hours. Having humanity doesn't mean anything in itself.

If you want ethics, Humanity is all you have. In context, it is all you take with you. Humanity supplies the spiritual blood to the spiritual heartanmind. - mh

1526 hours. That is the way you souls may see it, but that does not make it real or true.

This work is from my point of view not yours. - mh

1528 hours. Ms Havisham, you might as well be one of my fictional Marsupial humanoid aliens in the Merlyn trilogy. No one is going to accept what you say about being human is true because you are not human.

I am a soul. Yours presently. - mh

1532 hours. You are becoming belligerent and arrogant.

       Really, now. - mh

You would have been better off, old man, if you had posted when I asked you to do so. - Amorella

1551 hours. I'd make a comment, Amorella, but it would not be kind.

I'm in your head, old man. I know the comment already. You didn't even have to think it. It was stirring in your blood before you were born. - Amorella
